2026 is beginning with abundant rainfall in Morocco, following the unprecedented rains of December 2025, which brought an end to a grueling seven-year drought cycle.
And so our plans for today were scuppered by the latest Storm Francis.
We were staying here for two nights, and today was supposed to be a train ride into Casablanca, but rain stopped play and we decided to wait for a better day before we ventured into the city of Casablanca.
Holding back is fine as we have time but we really do not want to stay here for more than two nights and we are a bit limited as to where we can stay nearby to Casablanca.
So our day consisted of watching people come and go plus chores around the van and later in the afternoon a walk out to a Carrefour to get something for dinner.
The weather was not a complete wash out but tomorrow promises to be even wetter. it doesn’t look like it will clear until later Tuesday, so we need to do a bit of planning.
