2 Nights
The fact we were in the middle of a busy city on New Years day, and parked up in a bustling car park, we didn’t expect too much of a quiet night. And we were right next door to a mosque, but it was a reasonably good nights sleep had by all, apart from a dog barking and a ridiculously noisy car at some point.
We drew the blinds to what was now an empty car park, apart from two other vans either side of us.
I went over to the both where the two men were brewing up mint tea and arabic music was playing, paid the fee and thanked them before leaving.
We drove out of the busy city back to the motorway and headed for the town of El Mansouria just north of Mohammedia, a port city a few miles north of Casablanca.
Washing sloshing around in a barrel, strapped in the garage. Our improvised washing machine.
We ended up parking at at El Mansour, between a French van and English van at Camping Said.
Wasing out, rinsed, wrung and hung on the line to dry. We then had a wander around the towns coastline. Bought some bread and pancakes then made our way back.
We had a little sit in the sun before cooking burgers on the Cadac. We didn’t have time to get into the pancakes as our English neighbour, Dave, a solor traveller, came round for a chat.
This ended up with him bringing his chair round to join us and an evening of where you been, were you going ensued. It lasted a fair while until it started to rain, then we made a dash back to our respective abodes.
The weather for the next few days is looking unsettled, but our plans are to try and experience a train journey and get into Casablanca for tomorrow.
