Cross Hands Aire

There’s been no shortage of rain on this trip, and last night was no exception. For a Halloween night it was very in keeping, with thunder and lightening, even the odd owl. It did mean we didn’t get the best nights though, mainly in fear of branches from the trees above coming down on us.

As much as there has been lots of rain we have been blessed with sun and this morning was glorious at our setting below the castle ruins.

I took the morning walk while Jo got ready. Walked across the bridge over the River Towy, one of the longest flowing rivers entirely in Wales. There’s one of those highest, longest things again. The river looked calm but ready to burst into the surrounding countryside following the nights rain.

Breakfast done, we set of for our next destination, an Aire just outside the town of Cross Hands, about 10 miles east of Carmathan.  Nothing too exciting to say about this town but it’s just down the road from the National Botanic Garden of Wales, which we plan to visit tomorrow 👨‍🌾
