A morning of chores. Jo did the washing, we cleaned the van of sand, as it gets in everywhere. There’s also a lot of flies around, so we use fly spray, which means dead flies around the place. Our little hoover from Lakeland is excellent.
After lunch we strolled into the campsite next door for a nose, as we had heard there was another Xtura in there.
We found the Xtura, with French plates on, but no one at home. So we continued our walk into town, for a coffee (me) and a tea (Jo) with water. Something got lost in translation, as Jo didn’t get the tea.
Quad bikes have taken over from camels here, although you can still ride camels. We prefer a quad bike, so we made enquiries for a blast into the dunes on a quad for tomorrow.
We then went over to see the “king of stickers”. Stickers are the new paint the back of your van. And thank Allah for that, as after our experience last time we came to Morocco, stickers are far easier to remove. Anyway we bought a sticker and a scorpion encased in resin.
Back to Priscilla we had decided we are on holiday this week, not travelling, so we cracked open a beer (me) and g&t (Jo).
Not sure we mentioned the chicken we bought yesterday, but she went on the Cadac (bbq).
Our mate from the Portugese prision, who had the puncture, then turned up in his ambo conversion van, so we chatted to him for a while.
The first sliver of the crescent moon is sighted, so Ramadan starts tomorrow, which will be different as shops may not open as usual. We’re not too sure, but will watch how things pan out with interest.
