Today was a slow, sun-soaked day. We are looking at this part of our trip as a holiday. After all, it is the school half term if that helps 😁
So, we didn’t really do much, and that was kind of the point. We spent most of the day sitting around Prisciila.
I did pop to see the other Xtura to see if the owners were about, as we has missed them yesterday, which they were and we had a good chat. A nice French Canadian couple with interesting plans to go off through the desert with a guide, plus some interesting additions to thier van.
After lunch we went into town to a different colour sticker, as the one we bought yesterday didn’t look right. The streets were noticeably quieter than usual. It’s the first day of Ramadan, so there was this calm, peaceful atmosphere everywhere. Shops were open, but things felt more subdued.
It wasn’t an action-packed day. No big adventures. Just sun, sand, silence, and a quiet town easing into a sacred month.
