A sunny but chilly start to the day this morning. Everything was soaked with dew and there was still plenty of mist hanging around the mountains.
After breakfast we got the bikes out and set off along the fantastic cycle path beside the River Romanche towards Allemond. 🚲 It’s a great route, following the river through the valley with some lovely scenery along the way.
When we arrived in Allemond, we considered taking the cable car up to Vaujany, one of our old haunts from previous trips. Unfortunately, with rain forecast for later, we decided not to chance it and have postponed that adventure until tomorrow, as the weather promised to be better.
Instead, we had a wander around a little food market in town, browsing the stalls before stopping for a coffee.
Then it was back on the bikes for the ride home along the Romanche, hopefully beating the rain!
As it turned out the rain didn’t amount to much.
