1 Night
We left the Eagles Nest, walked our way down to the bus stop, instead of the elevator and caught the bus back to Priscilla. From there, we made our way back down the very steep mountain road at 24%, and off to our stopover for last night. Our chosen stopover was a petrol station just off the motorway, but when we arrived, we decided it was not for us, so we moved on. We finally found somewhere, but as we approached, two motorhomes pulled out ahead of us. Knowing there were only five places, we headed swiftly through the village, trailing behind them in hot pursuit; we half expected a battle on our hands for a space, but miraculously they drove on by.
Booking the stopover is via a red phone box in the grounds of the inn just across the road. We sat outside enjoying the sunshine, which continued until late afternoon.
Today was just a day of driving, 225 miles, mainly on the motorway further west. Around Munich, then just south of Stuttgart, until we reached our free stay for the night, a very nice Stellplatz on the outskirts of a small town of Leimersheim.
