After breakfast in the glorious sunshine, we decided to go for a hike into the neighbouring town of Merzouga. What we are staying in is the town of Hassilabied, but everyone seems to refer to it as Merzouga, which is actually about 5k south of here.
I can only assume it is because Merzouga is easier to pronounce than Hassilabied.
After 3 miles of a hot hike, we arrived in Merzouga, which actually had less to offer than Hassilabied. So we turned around and walked back.
On our way, we came across Nomadic Coffee. A van selling coffee, seating and tables. We had been a bit cautious of drinking or eating during the day, but it had customers, so we sat and ordered 2 coffees. They were the best we had had so far.
The other couple there turned out to be English, and we started chatting. They had flown out to Marrakesh and had a hire car for a few weeks. We chatted for some time before making our way back.
A small diversion, into the town of Hassilabied to get some bread and back to Priscilla. All round walk of about 7.5 miles.
