The aire in Buncrana filled with Irish campers by the evening and we got chatting to our neighbours this morning. An elderly couple from Galway travelling in tandem with their son.
We headed along the west side of Lough Swilly for Fanad Head, a lighthouse which is apparently one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world. Not sure about the lighthouse but the view is pretty amazing as is most of the coastline. We had a coffee and biscuit and continued on our way.
Our stop for tonight is in the sand dunes overlooking the beach and Ballyheirnan Bay. We had a walk on the vast expanse of sandy beach and went back to the van to sit in the sun.
Dinner was outside in the glorious sunshine and still warm at 7pm. We sit here now witnessing brave swimmers in sea and watching the sun go down over the dunes.
Tomorrow we may move on or stay here. See how the mood takes us 😁 .
