The Depart. An equal amazing spectacle to yesterdays arrival
of the riders but more relaxed affair as they leave and you get to see all the
riders up close. We scootered in part way parked up the walked gradually in to
town. You walk past the coached and all
the kit of the teams with their many bikes looking shiny and new ready for the
day ahead. Up to the stage where each
team is introduced before the start. We
managed to get right up to the barrier at the start line for a great view of
every rider as they set off at 13.05.
After we did a walk around town before making our way back to the
scooter and home.
