Long Meadow Campsite

It’s been a long time since out last excursion back in March just before lock down kicked in.  Been an eventful time too Covid aside, my Dad died, working form home (motorhome) and I finally I had the date I was long waiting for, my retirement on 31st July.  This first get away since lock down was to be timed with visiting my Mum but she ended up in hospital the week before so it was combined with visiting Bournemouth hospital also.

Long Meadow is a large site in two parts. The smaller hard standing with EHU area and the large open expanse of field set for off grid camping.  This is very well adequate if you don’t absolutely have to have EHU.  Plenty of water points dotted around but could be a fair trip to empty your toilet if you are at the far side.  Unlike it’s neighbour site, Hollands Wood, this site is an open with no trees.  It does get visits from the deer in the middle of the night as we discovered when one bumped the van side and woke us up.
