First of our two part August trip was two nights at Salisbury Camping and Caravan Club site, a half hour walk into the city. It had been very hot since Friday and the heat wave was continuing into our week away. Two nights gave us a full day to explore the City and thats exactly what we did on the Monday. A hot walk along the river Avon and into the City for some birthday shopping for me, Jo bought me shirts and a hat, and a walk around the Cathedral. A lunchtime meal at Cote Brasserie subsidised by Richie (chancellor of the exchequer) before our stroll back.
Salisbury site is a nicely kept site with facilities but all closed for Covid so you need your own. Friendly staff running this large open site with hard and grass pitches, EHU and non EHU. Lots of the pitches are very slopping. Great site convenient for the City.
