With Jo in the driving seat, we drove further north today towards the town of Tinghir and then into the Todra Gorge, a canyon in the high Atlas mountains with river below, although mostly dry as we drove through.
We have stopped off for one night in the small town of Tamtetoucht at Auberge Baddou. Not much here, just some cafes with few local men sitting outside. We wandered down the street in search for hand soap which we managed to get after some google translating. Got accosted by a number of kids asking for Dirhams but we didn’t oblige.
We are eating in the restaurant tonight and an early start in the morning as the weather looks like it’s turning wet and windy and we are in the mountains. So probably a change of plan and go back down the gorge to Tinghir and north east from there.
