La Ferme des Jenvries

Despite being parked up at a ferry port next to a railway station with a bus stop a few feet from our rear doors, it was a pretty good nights sleep. Alarm was set for 04.30 but we woke before the alarm went off.  Wash dress and in the queue for the ferry.

Ferry was on time, flat and not too busy. 4hrs went by pretty quickly as we broke it down by a nose through duty free, eating a home (van) made sandwich and flask of coffee, a kip in the lounge chairs then a stroll on the open deck to get some fresh air.

Exit the ferry and through customs was fine. They didn’t confiscate our milk and cheese, so that was good. Sunny and clear drive down, all toll free, with a stop off for lunch in a park with a lake at Mesnils-sur-Ilton where guys were floating RC  model boats.

Last few miles turned real foggy and we arrived at our spot for the night around 16.30.  It’s a pig farm, no one seems to be here, just us and the pigs.
