We had a 140 mile drive via a scenic cross-country route to Aix-les-Bains by the edge of Lac du Bourget. Aix-les-Bains is an old spa town on the eastern shore of Lac du Bourget, between the Jura and the Alps.
Our journey continued south, towards the Rhône valley. The final approach to the northern French Alps, ending right by the lake.
A busy campsite for the next two nights, so a more relaxing non drive day tomorrow.
