Camping Amerdoul

Another chilly start to the day, and by the time we opened the door, all our neighbours had gone, we were the only ones here.

Our first stop of the day was the Marjane supermarket in Guelmim, a few miles away. This was the third time we had been there this trip, so was getting used to it. Last time the streets were flooded, but today was glorious weather.

As we parked up at the Marjane, where we met another English couple travelling in a van, so chatted to them for a while.

Shopping done, we set off across some great roads towards our next stop, Camping Amerdoul in the village of Icht.

Icht lies on the southern slopes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, known for its old underground village, which we plan to do a tour of tomorrow.

The temperatures were in the low 20s, and we arrived at Camping Amerdoul,  a walled campsite surrounded by mountains and palm trees.  We filled our water tank, and Jo made use of their washing machine, while put up the makeshift washing line.

Our latest neighbours were a Dutch couple who were also our neighbours at our first stop in Asilah.  We had a catch-up with them, exchanging places we had all visited.

Our first impressions of this site are good.  If the weather keeps, we might spend longer than our usual 2 nights here.
