3 Nights
Our night up on the hill by the kasbah was a quiet affair, and both had a good sleep, only to be woken by a downpour and some passing donkeys. The early rain cleared and we even got a rather decent sunrise.
A knock at the door and we were greeted by Abess, on a moped, who had brought us handmade pancakes and sweet tea. These were delicious and set us up for our journey to Marrakech.
The usual method of navigation is our overland Garmin Tread sat nav and Google Maps through the head unit of Priscilla running off my phone. So this morning we added Gaia maps to the process, and used it as you would a hard map, more for directional use than turn by turn.
This worked well, and we seemed to get a fairly straight route through but for some roadworks and the final few hundred yards where we went over what seemed to be across a muddy field.
On the subject of mud, it is everywhere. The rains of late have turned the towns and surrounding fields, often used for markets, into a mud bath. This transfers onto the roads and is a mess. Priscilla is filthy.
Now parked up just outside Marrakech, at a busy campsite.
The weather looks like it’s on the up as no rain forecast and sunny for at least a few days.
