Camping Asada
Asilah
Morocco
2 Nights
We arrived in Morocco before the sun had risen this morning. We took advantage of a limited deal with DFDS and saved ourselves €140. The ferry left on the dot of 06:00hrs and there was only one other camper, two cars and four lorries aboard. All paper formalities on the ferry were swift and before long we disembarked and sought out the vehicle insurance office. Once this was sorted, we hit the road heading for Asilah.
Having stayed at Camping Asada on our last visit, it’s a perfect location to get your bearings and source a Moroccan SIM.
We had a quick coffee in the van, paid our host his money for a two night stay, then walked along the seafront and meandered through the familiar alleyways in the kasbah. With our trusted map we found the Inwi shop. Like the camp owner, the Inwi staff member was the guy we dealt with on our last visit and spoke perfect English.
Cards sorted, we had a mooch around the busy streets and bought ourselves some delicious plump dates and ripe avocados. Back to the van for lunch and to enjoy the sunshine.
