Camping Valdevaqueros

Last night we had the Hungarian goulash from our Romanian neighbours, a couple of white van men working in Spain. Later, they came and asked if we wanted to drink wine with them but we politely declined and drank our own.

There’s something going on over the road, looks like some industrial action with strikers and Gaudia Civil presence but cant find out what it’s about.

The Carrefour here is huge and sells everything. After Morocco, it seems a luxury to go into a shop and see alcohol. We stocked up as we plan to stay at our next stop for few days. We also got the Romanians a box of pastry.

We set off on route just 1/2 hours drive down the coast to Tarifa, the most southerly point of Spain. The campsite of Torre de la Peña was our first choice but it was full apart from 2 pitches that where small and in the shade. Second choice was Camping Valdevaqueros, busy but had places and we settled have settled here.

Jo did the washing, bed and clothes while I made a typical Spanish lunch …french stick with cream cheese and tomatoes served with a cup of tea 😂

During the trip to the laundry Jo met an English lady who was interested in our Moroccan trip and later her husband came over to chat to us about it as they was keen to go.

We did our usual walk of the site and ended up having a drink with the English couple.

Will probably stay here a few nights and venture to the beach tomorrow.
