We have been off grid now since we left home and despite the sun our leisure batteries are running low. It’s winter sun, and I guess the strength is not there as it is in the summer, so after breakfast we set off into the mountains to boost our battery.
We took the small roads out and climbing up and up. Tight bends, a dry rocky landscape with little greenery, just the occasional palm trees, a trip we would have unlikely taken in our previous van, certainly not just to boost batteries. We were driving to god knows where so we decided to turn back and head for camp.
On our way back we parked up in the street of a small town and popped into a small supermarket, El Molinero, to get some bread and milk. Then back at the campsite for a roast lunch followed by a snooze.
The Germans opposite have increased in numbers and are making a hell of a racket (laughing and talking loud). All we need now is the Oompah Band to turn up. Other than that, it’s fantastic.
