Only 30 miles to our Christmas destination by the sea. Knowing we didn’t have far to go we had an easy going morning. A van turned up selling bread so we bought some for breakfast and lunch. Then a grocery van turned up selling meat so we bought some steaks.
We realised we hadn’t got much in the way of euros so set off to find a bank on route but this turned out to be a stressful event as we didn’t pass any towns and ended up doing a u turn to head in the wrong direction into a town, parked down some dodgy street and queued with some dodgy looking people while we extracted euros from the cash machine.
The final bit of the route to this site we are in now was rough. Some of it on unmade roads past loads of these greenhouse looking structures growing tomatoes. It’s baron, dry, dusty with no end of flys. The site is new with lots of huge German vans. Very few English.
We’ve been down to the beach which is only a two minutes walk.
