Lucksalls site has a pontoon at either end of the site with easy access to the river Wye. We lowered the kayak down the bank and onto the pontoon, wobbled ourselves into the seats and pushed off up stream …destination Mordiford.
Now this was tough at times. The current in places meant we made no ground and took all our efforts to stop us going back where we came from. After passing the tributary to the river Lugg without realising we carried on up the Wye until it got to tought and we let the current take us back. This time we took the turn up the Lugg for a while …much calmer before deciding to head back. The current took us back down stream to our pontoon.
