Aching Limbs

Left Flo for a walk along the beach to West Mersea about 9am after a breakfast of bacon sandwich topped with a fried egg.  Weather not too bad, not cold and a few moments of warmth when the sun popped out.  8 miles in after a detour because part of the sea wall walk was closed off due to it collapsing into the sea. We arrived at The Company Shed (the winkle shed) for early lunch.

By the time we got there signs of fatigue had set in and a taxi back was on the mind.  Hadn’t barely sat down when we gathered that you need to bring your own bread …so off I popped down the road to purchase a couple of baguettes to complement our order of muscles.

Lunch devoured we sat off on our return. The thought of another 8 miles back on already aching limbs made us chance the collapsing sea wall. It certainly was in a state but passable. Cutting our walk down to  grand total of 14 miles!
