An excellent evening by the river last night, followed by a peacefull nights sleep.
This morning, some of the crew ventured into the town, to the local boulangerie to sample their delights. Then breakfast by the river in the morning sun.
We had really squeezed Priscilla into this parking spot, and needed a hand to get out. The tree branch resting on the roof needed lifting with the aid of the telescopic windscreen squeegee.
The other two vans turned around and we led the convoy over the bridge to a nearby fuel station, before heading to our next stop over.
About 130 miles to a beautiful by Lac in Giffaumont-Champaubert. We parked up by the edge of the woods by the lake. No services but a free spot.
We waited for it to cool down before setting off to explore on our bikes but it didn’t seem to cool even gone 6pm, so we set off anyway.
A great short ride on our new bikes with the others. Through the woods and up to the beach area by the lake. It was busy with families enjoying the water as it is French holidays.
The late afternoon we sat outside when a couple of French fighter jets flew over low. And into the evening until it got dark when we heard more fighters flying over, all we could see was the glow of the engines.
It got quiet late and the tiny flying nightlife got the better of us, so it was time for bed.
