A much more relaxed day today, making the most of the lovely weather and our spot here on the banks of the River Cher.
We left our travel companions, jumped on the bikes this morning and headed off along the south side of the river, following the route past the beautiful Château de Chenonceau. Not a bad backdrop for a morning bike ride!
From there we continued along the Cher to Bléré, where we crossed the bridge and made our way back along the north side of the river, turning it into a nice circular ride.
Back at Priscilla, it was time for some lunch before moving on to the rather less strenuous part of the day’s activities…
An afternoon sitting around the pool, soaking up the sunshine and doing very little at all!
A bit of cycling, a château, lunch at Priscilla and an afternoon by the pool .. that’ll do nicely!
After dinner we re grouped for an evening of drink and chat before retiring.
Tomorrow we head for Mont St Michel.
