We woke to the sound of the family’s donkey, and an ocasional passing scooter.
Kahlid’s mum had made us crepes, which we had in the main room in their house, with Said, Kahlid’s dad. Jo exchanged words with Said in French as we drank mint tea and ate the crepes.
Breakfast done, we all gathered outside for a photo session before our departure.
We drove off up the gravel track, leaving the family that had fed and entertained us. People that 24 hours ago we did not even know, so much to learn from their humanity.
Course set north for the town of Azrou, up over the Atlas mountains, through the Ifrane National park with its Barbary macaque monkeys. Lunch parked up with snow still on the ground, long gone the temperatures of the desert.
We arrived just outside Azrou, at Camping Emirates. The place looks a bit like a closed Disney resort apart from the camping section.
