It was the usual dumping of waste but not refilling of fresh water as we were heading for another campsite, which would turn out to be a mistake later on, then hitting the road, heading south.
Today we were using the toll motorway, which took us most of the 200 miles to the coast, just south of Agadir in the seaside town of Sidi Ouassay. A small town of predominantly Amazigh or Berber people.
Only stopping off at a motorway service station to refuel and have lunch. The lunch was not as reasonable as yesterday’s market food, but the fuel was the same 80p per litre as it has been everywhere.
The temperatures rose as we approached Sidi Ouassay, to a respectable 22 degrees C, and finally reached our destination, hoping we could find a place for at least tonight.
Accommodating us almost right on the beach was no problem, but the water supply was salty, which our water filters would not deal with. Tanks at 25% full we were going to have to conserve supplies. We bought a half dozen water bottles from the shop next door and parked up next to the beach.
Wandered down to the beach, even got in up to my knees, then back for a beverage and sat in the sun before getting the BBQ out for dinner.
