1 Night
Another day, another beach. Day 3 of covid. Jo not feeling any better. Pouring with rain in the early hours, easing off by the time we were leaving then making a huge improvement with sun shinning and temperatures up to 16°C.
We headed for Baltimore (County Cork not US) this morning which had a great spot near the harbour. On arrival there was some confusion as to whether vans were permitted so we decided to leave and head for a lovely spot by the beach at Tragumna.
We parked up in the carpark overlooking the bay next to a lady having no luck getting her dog back into the car. We went onto the beach with the dog, me with bare feet and into the sea with Lucy, the dog.
Lucy was having none of it and just wanted to play on the sand. Eventually with trust gained, I gently got hold of her collar. Our van travels do seem to attract dogs.
Next up, a lady came to swim and a fairway off shore. I was envisaging more concerns like red van lady if we didn’t see her return but we did. Jo decided to collected plastic and detritus washed up on the sand which I suppose is not a bad way to repay for our free stay here.
I cooked dinner, a far superior than last nights as it was my chilli con carne, my speciality 🤭.
The tide has come in and is slowly going out again and the sun is setting behind the rocks.
