2 Nights

The Bridge House

Last nights rising tide stopped just short of the car park so we knew we would be ok in the morning.

This place was the quietest of places with the only noises being those of the sea birds. A mild and murky start with light rain that soon turned into a bright morning as we left.

Our first stop was Finit Harbour with its marina where we had a coffee and doughnut and met with a couple the we had apparently came across for the third time now.  We had a chat about where we had been and where we were going, took a stroll along the harbour and up to the St Bernard the Navigator monument, then continued on our way.

Our next stop the town of Dingle with its fishing port and livestock market. Our arrival here had coincided with the Dingle food fare over the weekend so we expected it to be busy. We had planned a stop in a pub bang in the town but finding the car park of this pub proved difficult and after two laps of the town we pulled into a car park to sort out clearer directions. It turned out the car park was accessed from a road around the back of the pub.

We parked up, popped into the pub to show our faces, indulge in pre late lunch drink then found somewhere to eat.

After lunch we had walk around this busy harbour town after lunch where they where shutting off roads and setting up stalls. Lots of bars and quirky pubs. One of them, called Foxy Johns’s Bar, was also a hardware and bicycle repair shop.

Might have to venture into town later this evening.
