It was blowing a gale last night and the van was rocking so not the best nights sleep. Still dry though as we had our breakfast overlooking the bay with is rough water.
We set off back down the very narrow track with the brambles hitting the van, so slow going to minimise the impact while hoping nothing came the other way. We then hit the lower section of the sky road with fantastic views and headed for the town of Clifden for a spot of washing and continue with a bit of a chore day.
There are are these Revolution free standing laundry areas that are located in fuel stations or supermarket car parks. There is such a place in the town of Clifden. We parked up and used the one in a fuel station and even managed to find a skip to dispose of the best part of two weeks rubbish. Being responsible travellers means we don’t abuse the small council rubbish bins with what is essentially our household rubbish.
Laundry done, next stop was for a water fill up at Ballyconneely where there was a fire hydrant with a tap connection. Then a absolute must was the toilet cassette empty. Thank you very much Cachel council for this superb much needed disposal point.
Jobs done we stopped off on route at Glinsk pier a small fishing area for some lunch.
