On the verge of the great storm Dennis we
hoped on the bus and made our way through the country lanes to Wells Next the
Sea. Got there just in time to see some
of the fishing boats unload and take a walk down some of the lanes. Then off out to the gloriously fine sandy beach,
which on a hot and sunny day must be real nice.
On a wet and windy day it was less so but still rather enjoyable and worked
up an appetite for some lunch. Bu the
time we had eaten lunch and made our way slowly back to the bus stop to return
the weather was getting even less agreeable and we were happy to get back.

That night the Dennis arrived and arrived
in a big way, with winds that blew the van and woke us up around 2am making it
a restless night.
