Or as its otherwise known, going up Alpe Huez.
I thought we were just going into the town to get some
milk. Nice flat ride into town, get some
milk, have a mooch around and back. It
was three million degrees today so Jo thought of riding up Alpe d Huez before
we bought the milk. We did, and it was
fantastic of course but we are not at our peek and as I say it was very hot .. the Garmin registered 40.7 degrees C at one point. None the less we made it all the way up in
three hours and ½ hour or so down. Our
reward to ourselves was an ice-cream and we got the milk.
