We drove up after work to Rushbanks Farm, our fourth visit now. Last year’s visit for the same early May bank holiday and that was a scorcher. This would turn out completely different with rain wind and cold. None the less Saturday morning I pumped up the Kayak despite forgetting the seats. Not long had it out on the river when it started raining, then hail stones. This came to an abrupt end dragging the Kayak out and escaping to the warmth on the van.
The weather had an effect on how busy the site was too as only the main field was open and a scattering of brave and hardy campers in tents.
How different two years can be.
