Left our stopover at the fuel station this morning, cold and sunny, for our next stop the town of Simancas with its medieval bridge and castle. A free stopover with services.
We arrived had lunch then walked over the medieval bridge with a huge flow of water running under it, and up to the town to get bottled drinking water.
We’re aiming for the Tuesday ferry from Cherbourg to Portsmouth, so tomorrow we will stopover at Irun just before the Spanish/French boarder and the up through France. Looks like we have fair bit of rain ahead of us though.
