1 Night

Area Municiple Segorbe

Cartagena is a lovely city, with a large marina, a contrasting, quiet walk from our park up into the smarter, lively part of town, with its shops and bars.  We had thought of eating out; instead, we went into the Mercadona supermarket opposite, on the way back, for a feast of home-cooked burgers and chips.

Full bellies and a few beer & wines, we retired to bed.  I actually got off to sleep, but the noise started at around 11.30. The fuel station we were parked alongside had cars revving engines, loud music blasting out and shouting. This went on until around 3am.  So not the best night we’ve had.

We frequently get asked about safety, and last night didn’t feel unsafe, it was just a bloody nuisance, brought on by people having a good time at the expense of others.

Slightly bleary-eyed, we left the comfort of Santa Pod, and set course for the town of Segorbe, just north of Valencia.  We know it fairly well as we stopped here in December 23, on our way south.

Hopefully we will have a quieter night.
