Wild Dogs

Another gorgeous day here at the Eagles Nest, although very windy, and we decided to go for a hike.

The hike took us across the top of the cliff edge where we were parked, with a gradual decent to the quiet town of Sidi Boulfdayel. There seemed nothing here, only rather nicely turned out houses. We made our way through the alleyways to what appeared to be some sort of farmland, although very little growing. There was an old man ploughing a small patch of soil with a donkey, we exchanged hand waves.
Eventually making our way to a rather lovely beach with hardly anyone around. I had a paddle, which is about my limitation, but the water wasn’t that cold and rather nice on the feet, especially after a few mikes of walking.

We sat on the beach and had an orange, then made our way up to the road, where two dogs came out barking at us.
Being a bit cautious of wild dogs we went into defensive mode, but these had collars on, one even a trendy looking bandana to suppliments his collar. They soon stopped barking and just carried on walking with us.
The rest of our walk was a good two miles up a steep inclined rough road with a hairpin halfway. Our now friendly dogs walked with us all the way to the entrance of camping spot at the auberge.
We sat on a wall outside so that they didn’t follow us back to the van. The dogs carried on but we imagined they would be sitting outside Priscilla when we got back.
No dogs present, basic lunch, as it’s our fasting day, and a bit of louging in the sun before the clouds came over and we called it a day.
Tomorrow we leave for Sidi Ifni.
