And we’re off on the start of our six week tour around the west coast of Ireland, along the Wild Atlantic Way. We’re aiming for the Sunday ferry from Liverpool to Belfast. Our first night here is just north of Birmingham at Park Gate Marina, by the canal near the village of Penkridge.
After we had parked up and paid out fee for the night, we took a pleasant stroll along the canal into the village. Did our bit for the local economy and strolled back.
The park up is the car park of the chandlery, nothing glamourous but suits our needs for the night and for £10 pretty good.
We are now sitting scoffing crisps and drinking wine & beer.
