We left at wet farm stopover and drove a full 4 miles to the port of Liverpool Birkenhead for the ferry. We started off third in the queue but a motorbike pushed in then there was a problem with the ticket system, so the second lane opened and we ended up left behind. Ferry boarded and breakfast ordered we where soon on our way for our eight our ferry crossing to Belfast.
The ship is big and fairly new, first in service 2020, and very comfortable. We spent the time with a bit of shopping, earing, drinking and watching The Secrets of Dumbledore in the cinema, which I highly recommend. I never knew he had a brother and sister 😁.
The ship arrived in Belfast bang on time, 18.30 and we soon drove off for a short journey round to the car park near the Titanic Experience and parked up under the gaze of Samson and Goliath. A quick knock up of sausage in a roll for tea and we settled in for the night.
Tomorrow we visit the Titanic Experience.
